2010 April Program
IREM Chapter 45 and US Green Building Council (USGBC) Minnesota are pleased to present the program, Green Building Systems - How to Get Started, on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
This program will focus on LEED Rating Systems and Energy Star Benchmarking and will take place at the Golden Valley Country Club.
Rick Carter, AIA, LEED AP, USGBC Minnesota's current President, will provide an introduction of the US Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Rating systems including the differences in the various rating systems and how to determine which rating system is right for your project.
Peter Dahl, PhD, LEED AP, will provide an overview of Energy Star. He will discuss how to generate an Energy Star Rating for your property, actions that can be taken to raise a low Energy Star rating and how an Energy Star rating can benefit your marketing efforts.
Whether you are thinking of seeking a LEED Certification or Energy Star Rating for your project, or are just interested in learning more about this topic, the program will bring you up to speed on these popular green building rating systems.
